Goldman Sachs “Community Team Works” Volunteer with Reach Out and Read at New York-Presbyterian Hospital

A group of volunteers from Goldman Sachs Community Team Works volunteered with Reach Out and Read of Greater New York’s staff at a literacy fair at New York-Presbyterian hospital in Upper Manhattan.

The volunteers, including two Reach Out and Read of Greater New York board members, Osman Ali and Sergey Kraytman, engaged in reading to children and running an arts and crafts table. The activities provided children with the opportunity to enhance their interest in early education and books, as a way to grow personally and enhance their academic success.

The goal of this project was to expose children and families to works of children’s literature and engage in literacy projects. This, as with all efforts of our program, empowers caregivers and parents to engage in literacy activities that influence their children’s success in school and throughout their entire lifespan. Many thanks to Emelin Martinez for organizing this wonderful event!
