We are very grateful to the children and families at Reade Street Prep in downtown Manhattan for holding a recent book drive to support the children served by Reach Out and Read of Greater NY! The drive was a phenomenal success and we were thrilled to receive hundreds of wonderful books (see photo).
Reade Street Prep, founded seven years ago by Ilysa Winick, a former Wall Street executive and mother of two, is a pre-school and pre-kindergarten program in Tribeca that boasts a dual-language (Spanish and Mandarin) option for students two- through five-years of age. Starting with just a small group of students and teachers in 2008, Reade Street Prep has grown to include an East Side and West Side Campus that includes options for full- and half-day programs, as well as afternoon and summertime enrichment programs, for 175 students and their 20 teachers.
Reade Street Prep recognizes the importance of helping children succeed, both in school and in life. You can learn more about this wonderful school by visiting their website www.rsprep.com.
