On April 29th, Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal read The Lorax to children from a nearby school at Ryan/Chelsea-Clinton Community Health Center.
This reading was a part of their Arbor Day celebration in which the children spent time planting outside the health center and doing arts and crafts that highlighted the importance of trees in our environment.
Each child also received their own copy of The Lorax.
A special thank you to the William F. Ryan Health Network staff and AmeriCorps members, including Richard Hsu, ROR Program Coordinator at Ryan/Chelsea-Clinton Community Health Center.
Also, thank you to Fabian Varcianna, a member of Reach Out and Read’s Young Leaders Board, who donated The Lorax books given to each child.
